About

With the start of the WNBA’s 20th season approaching in the spring of 2016, I figured it was time to dive head first into the league.

The only problem was, I lacked any sort of rooting interest. The dissolution of the Cleveland Rockers in 2003 meant fans like myself in central Ohio were basically stuck with the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky as the closest WNBA teams, neither of which offered much in the sense of regional solidarity.

As a result, I was for all intents and purposes a free agent searching for the best opportunity. Ultimately, I landed on the Seattle Storm, not only because they had two young stars in Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd but also because they had built a passionate legion of supporters who had followed the team for more than 15 years.

Now, I want to help spread the gospel. Witty Weather Pun is a place where Storm fans can find a more analytical take on the team.
